Winter is coming, which means it's time to start thinking about your flu vaccine.

Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting a flu vaccine, free for all Queenslanders aged 6 months and older until 30 September 2026.

This year, for the first time in Australia, a needle-free flu vaccine in the form of a nasal spray will also be available and free for children aged two to five years (before they turn 6). This is an easy way to protect your child.

Good hygiene behaviours like washing hands, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when sick can help stop the spread of the flu, but for the best protection, get vaccinated. 💪

Check with your GP, pharmacist, or vaccine provider about when the vaccine will be available for you.

✨Meet the Team ✨ Alaina joined the Myhealth Benowa team in January 2023 as a receptionist and shortly after stepped into a dynamic dual role as both Practice Manager and Practice Nurse. 👩🏻‍💻🩺 💉

You’ll often find Alaina in different areas of the clinic, whether it’s at the front desk welcoming patients and answering calls, dressing wounds and administering vaccinations in the treatment room, or working behind the scenes in her office, managing clinic operations to ensure everything runs smoothly. 🧡

A look back on the year 2 0 2 5 🧡
From busy clinic days to special moments behind the scenes, 2025 reminded us why we do what we do.

This year we were proud to grow our medical team to six amazing GPs, we also welcomed our wonderful Nurse Jess to the team as well as two new incredible additions to our admin team - Harry, who joined us in January, and Tiff, who came on board in November. 🧡

We also had plenty to celebrate outside the clinic, including one beautiful wedding and the exciting news that one of our team members will soon be welcoming a little bub in early 2026 🤍

Our team showed up for causes close to our hearts - turning the clinic teal for Ovarian Cancer Awareness, dressing as superheroes for Hero4HeartKids, rocking our craziest socks for Socks to Docs Day to support doctors’ mental health, wearing matching shirts for R U OK? Day, coming together with our local community for Women’s Health Week, swapping out the scrubs for blue jeans for Jeans for Genes, and attempting to grow moustaches for Movember - with a special shout-out to Dr Nick, the only successful Mo grower, who raised over $500 for men’s health 👏

To our patients - thank you for trusting us with your care and being such an important part of our clinic community.

Tiff joined us almost a month ago and has been busy getting to know our wonderful patients while learning the ins and outs of life as a medical receptionist. 👩🏻‍💻
