Motherhood teaches me more than anything else ever could.
This is my 7-year-old in the sauna this morning — regulating, breathing, grounding.
He was having a hard time, and it would’ve been so much easier to bypass it all, rush him out the door, and send him off to school.
But the harder, slower, more intentional path is the one that actually supports him.
Holding space.
Validating his emotions.
Letting him feel what he feels without trying to fix or rush it.
And honestly… adults are no different.
When we have our own “stuff” going on, it’s so easy to bypass — to push it down, stay busy, avoid the discomfort.
But it doesn’t go away. It builds, just like it does for our kids.
Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is pause…
Feel it.
Name it.
Support ourselves through it.
Then we can move through it.
And today?
Even though he didn’t want to go to school — he still showed up.
And that’s worth celebrating.
Because in life, choosing to show up (especially when it’s hard) is where the real growth is.
Here’s your gentle reminder: don’t bypass your own emotions.
Feel them. Honour them. Move with them.
You deserve that same compassion you offer everyone else.
RAW coaching is never just about lifting weights 😉
