Resthaven Northern Community Services recently celebrated 90 years of Resthaven!

Clients, families, and staff came together for a range of activities, including arts and crafts, courtyard games, exercise demos, and a photo display. A special highlight was long-time client Mrs Barbara H**e, who also turned 90, cutting the cake! 🎂

We are proud to honour Dawn Weyland for an extraordinary achievement: 50 years with Resthaven Murray Bridge – 23 years as a staff member and 27 years as a volunteer. 👏

Her remarkable contribution was recently celebrated with residents and colleagues during an afternoon tea, where she was presented with a beautifully engraved glass award in recognition of her legacy.

A lifelong Murray Bridge local, Dawn supports her community in many ways, and has enjoyed many overseas adventures.

Residents at Resthaven Leabrook enjoyed a fascinating journey back in time recently, with a 'rex-cellent' presentation!

Dr Diego Garcia-Bellido, Associate Professor at the University of Adelaide and Senior Palaeontology Researcher at the SA Museum, shared insights into South Australia’s rich fossil heritage.

Everyone was particularly keen to have a close look at 'Redlichia rex' – a 512-million-year-old fossil! 😲
