On Wednesday, we ran our Welcome to the Profession event for the Bachelor of Dentistry, 5th year students from the The University of Adelaide.

The evening covered all the essential topics to help final-year students feel more prepared and confident about the start of their careers.

To mark both Dental Health Week and Homelessness Week, and with the support of Colgate-Palmolive, we were pleased to donate toothbrushes and toothpaste to the Hutt St Centre and Catherine House - Support for Women Experiencing Homelessness on Wednesday.

ADA SA Vice President Dr Poppy Anastassiadis was proud to present the donations to Chris Burns, CEO of Hutt Street Centre, and Rebecca Millard from Catherine House.

The Hutt Street Centre and Catherine House provide vital services, shelter, and support to people experiencing homelessness in Adelaide.

Last week we held our first full day First Aid course, delivered by St John Ambulance | SA.

Participants had a jam-packed day learning how to confidently manage emergency situations and provide first aid in casualty situations.

On Tuesday night we held our innovative seminar on Digitising Dentures.

Attendees learnt how digital technologies are revolutionising the denture-making process and explored how digital tools can enhance the quality, efficiency, and predictability of prosthetic treatments.

Last week we held our first Aboriginal Cultural Sensitivity & Respect Training course on.

Hosted by Bookabee Australia, the course was an excellent opportunity to learn practical strategies to create an inclusive and respectful practice environment.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to Cultural Director Haydyn Bromley, for creating a genuine environment where everyone was able to ask questions and learn about Aboriginal culture in a meaningful way.
