Ben and I were sat yesterday on our deck and a kangaroo appeared. It reminded me that when I was 8, I used to get a magazine with a cassette tape of a story about a girl who got lost in the Australian outback and made friends with all the animals who helped her get home.
(It was written in 1899 by Ethel Pedley and a movie came out in 1977)
Every second week I would run to the corner shop to get the next installment, which introduced a new native animal to her team of helpers.
Who would have thought 22 years later I would have moved here and now 22 years after that, I have a house in the country.
Just love it. Thanks Dot for seeing the seed 💖
