🎗 6 Months Post Left-Sided DIEP Flap Reconstruction 🎗

This patient is now 6 months post left-sided DIEP flap breast reconstruction following treatment for self-detected breast cancer.
She was diagnosed in May 2024 after identifying a lump in her left breast. This was followed by a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy, which demonstrated metastatic spread to the lymph nodes.

Reconstruction was performed by Dr Aggarwal, using the DIEP flap technique, which involves transferring the patient’s own tissue from the lower abdomen to recreate a natural breast shape.

-No driving for 1 weeks.
-Duration of stay: 1 night stay in the hospital.

This patient of ours had a bilateral mastectomy for .

Dr Aggarwal performed a using a DIEP flap from her abdomen. This was transplanted to the chest.

The patient now has a permanent reconstruction that will grow with her, with a reconstruction that is soft much like a native breast.
