BOOK NOW FOR FLU VACCINE

Those eligible for a free flu shot under the National Immunisation Program include:
• People 65 years and over,
• Pregnant women,
• Children aged 6 months to under 5 years
• People aged 6 months or over who have chronic medical conditions
• All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People from 6 months of age.

Annual vaccination is recommended for anyone six months of age and older, with those not eligible under the program able to purchase the vaccine.

Job Summary
We are looking for experience Medical Receptionists to join our team at Wallarah Bay Medical Centre @ 1-3 Hay Street Gorokan.

Essential Criteria
• Previous medical receptionist experience with a working knowledge of the general practice environment, including Treatment Room Procedures and Infection Control.
• Working knowledge of Clinical Software including Best Practice.
• An understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule and Workers Compensation
• Demonstrated computer competency
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to the role and for providing a high level of patient care
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

Notice to Patients

We are not an Urgent Care Centre or a walk-in bulk billing clinic.

Wallarah Bay Medical Centre is a private medical centre providing ongoing , patient-focused care.

We bulk bill all our regular patients and currently have two new doctors accepting new regular patients.

Appointments are required, as we do not accept walk-in patients.

Wallarah Bay Medical Centre will be closed over the Christmas Break we will be closed today at 11am 24th December 2025, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and over the weekend.

We will reopen Monday 29th December.
