9 reasons to practice Bikram yoga ( HOT 26) in a hot room


β‘  Muscles, fascia and connective tissue become more elastic allowing for greater flexibility with less chance of injury

β‘‘ Warm muscles burn fat more effectively. When we stretch, the fat has no room to sit so it redistributes to the blood stream which we then use as energy

β‘’ Blood becomes thinner which clears the circulatory system
When the body is warm, T-cell output from the thymus gland is multiplied 20 fold. T-cells fight infection which in turn keeps the immune system functioning properly

β‘£ Warmer temperatures produce a fluid like stretch that allows for greater range of motion in the joints

β‘€ Heart rate becomes elevated which improves the cardiovascular system (heart and lungs)

β‘₯ Capillaries respond to heat by dilating. This allows more oxygen to muscles, tissues, glands and organs helping in the removal of waste products

⑦ Higher temperatures improve the function of the nervous system, meaning that messages are carried more rapidly to and from the brain or spinal cord (you think more clearly)

Did you know there are a variety of techniques for uncurling our bodies and thoughts and tending to that underlying fire?

One of them is 𝔂𝓲𝓷 𝔂𝓸𝓰π“ͺ and how it cultivates traits like π‘žπ‘’π‘–π‘’π‘‘, π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘π‘’π‘π‘‘π‘–π‘£π‘–π‘‘π‘¦, and π‘ π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘Ÿπ‘’π‘›π‘‘π‘’π‘ŸοΌŽ

It's a method to embrace the pause. Here are three yin practice ideas that are both easy and effective:

1. Come into the pose to an appropriate depth.
2. Resolve to be still.
3. Rest in the posture for some time.
