Our doctors collaborate to provide comprehensive pregnancy, gynaecological, fertility, fetal medicine & ultrasound services in a warm & supportive environment. This page is managed 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

The Trump administration in the United States has issued highly controversial claims this week, regarding the causes of autism and ADHD, asserting that paracetamol use during pregnancy increases the risk of children being diagnosed as neurodivergent.

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG, the College) joins leading clinicians and scientists worldwide in vehemently rejecting these claims.

Robust scientific evidence shows no link between paracetamol use in pregnancy and autism or ADHD, with several large and reliable studies directly contradicting the administration’s statement.

FASD is a preventable, permanent condition that can affect a baby’s brain and body development. There’s no known safe amount of alcohol during pregnancy, and no safe time to drink. That’s why the message is clear:
No alcohol during pregnancy is the safest choice.

Let’s support each other with compassion, understanding, and education — because healthy pregnancies start with informed decisions.

It’s not just hot flushes and hormone changes, menopause can have a profound impact on a woman’s emotional wellbeing.

📣 New Paediatrician Specialising in Neurodiverse Brains, Behavioural Concerns and Complex Conditions.

We’re thrilled to welcome Specialist Paediatrician Dr Ahmed Khan to Intuition Private, starting Thursday 4 September.

With over 20 years of paediatric experience, including his ongoing work at Gosford Hospital and former role as Head of Paediatrics at the hospital, Dr Khan brings expertise across ALL ages.

He has a focus on behavioural concerns, developmental needs, and complex conditions, including childhood ADHD diagnosis protocols.

Many families on the Central Coast face long waitlists or travel long distances for expert paediatric care. At Intuition Private, there will be no initial waiting list, ensuring your child receives timely care when it’s needed most. Dr Khan will be seeing patients 1–2 days per week.
