Our trainers are not just classroom based - they all have emergency service experience. This weekend, one of our senior trainers went to Rockhampton to provide medical support with Best Medic Group at the motocross. A great 3 day event.

Our team at Vital First Aid did. That’s why Danielle survived. 💯

Danielle Martin didn’t expect to become the story that night.
A long-time South Sydney Rabbitohs fan, she had travelled to Gosford with her fiancé Jamie to watch the Rabbitohs v Sea Eagles Pre-Season Challenge last February.

Then, her heart stopped.
In the middle of the Industree Group Stadium crowd, a chain of heroes formed.
The quick action of locals who started CPR and the use of a stadium defibrillator by members of the Vital First Aid Event Medical Team enabled her to survive until she was rushed to Gosford Hospital for advanced care.

The following Saturday, she stood in that same stadium, thanked the first aid crew, Tim, Aaron and Dave, and donated a new HeartSine defibrillator to the venue. ♥️

These moments remind us: the people who save lives aren’t always wearing capes.
Sometimes they’re wearing club polos, volunteer tags, or event vests.

At Vital First Aid, we train them. We support them.
