💫 Meet Hideki — our Physiotherapist (and knee specialist!)
Hideki joined the Gosnells Physiotherapy team in 2022 and brings over a decade of experience to the clinic. He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Japan and has worked across both hospitals and private clinics, treating a wide range of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
But here’s what he’s especially known for:
🦵 Hideki has a strong interest in knee injuries — from ACL and meniscus injuries to osteoarthritis — and loves helping patients get back to moving with confidence.
Outside the clinic, Hideki enjoys staying active, scuba diving, cooking, and travelling — always up for his next adventure 🌊✈️
He speaks both Japanese and English fluently, making him a great support for a diverse range of patients.
We’re so lucky to have his calm approach, skill, and dedication as part of our team 💙

Can you pass this quick balance test? 🧍
Balance is something many of us don’t think about until it becomes difficult... but it plays an important role in preventing falls, staying independent and moving confidently!

Try this simple test at home:
Stand on one leg and see how long you can hold it.
The graphic shows some approximate targets by age, but don’t worry if it feels difficult. Balance can often be improved with the right exercises.
If you’ve noticed feeling unsteady, dizzy, or less confident when walking, a physiotherapy assessment can help identify the cause and guide you with exercises to improve stability and confidence.
Our team is always happy to help.

👉 Did you try the test? Let us know how long you lasted!

💧 Are you drinking enough water?

Dehydration doesn’t just make you thirsty!
It can also affect:
• muscle tightness
• joint stiffness
• fatigue
• recovery from exercise
Even mild dehydration can make aches and pains feel worse.

A simple goal:
👉 sip water regularly through the day
👉 don’t wait until you feel thirsty
👉 add extra if you’re active or it’s hot
👉 increase your water intake even more when exercising on very hot days

Your body heals better when it’s well hydrated 💙

If you’re dealing with ongoing stiffness or sore muscles, remedial massage can be a great way to help release tension and support recovery!
We‘re always happy to guide you on what your body needs.

We get asked this all the time:
“Should I see a physio… or get a massage?” 🤔
The short answer?
It depends on what your body needs!
Sometimes the best combo is both: Physiotherapy to fix the problem. Massage to help your muscles recover.
Not sure what you need?
That’s okay — we’re happy to help point you in the right direction 😊

If your body’s been sending you warning signs (stiff, sore, cranky), Valentine’s Day is a good reminder to stop ignoring them.
Your joints and muscles work hard for you every day —
they deserve a little love back 💙

The Winter Olympics are on and our clinic is very divided… in the best way 😄
Of course we’re cheering for Aussie athletes 🇦🇺
…but also for German, Japanese, Chinese, Kiwi and Italian ones too — because our team is proudly multicultural 💙
One thing is the same for every athlete, no matter the flag:
👉 Strong muscles + flexible joints = better performance and fewer injuries.
Now your turn…
🏁 Who are YOU cheering for this Olympics?
