A huge thank you to the Goulburn Base Hospital Fundraising Committee for supporting the purchase of new equipment for our NSW Health Pathology collection room at Goulburn Base Hospital! 💙

This vein finder will make a real difference for patients with hard-to-find veins — improving our collector’s first-attempt success, reducing discomfort, cutting waste, and helping our team deliver faster, safer and more confident collections.

Goulburn Laboratory Supervising Scientist Sharon Doggett said the team of experienced collectors were thrilled to have another resource that will help patients, especially for the many immunocompromised patients receiving cancer care.

“We are so grateful for this donation - your generosity means a better experience for patients, support for local clinicians and a more efficient, sustainable service for our community.

We loved showing the fundraising team just what a difference it will make! 🙌

⏲️Our Goulburn collection centre is open Monday – Friday 7.30am- 4.30pm and Saturday – Sunday 9.30-12.30pm.

What a brilliant morning! Congratulations on another successful event Race Hub Australia - thank you allowing us to provide the bbq and raise funds to purchase 10 stackable wheelchairs for the base hospital. They are $1,700 each, so we are raising the $17,000 through our events, thanks to all those who found volunteers yesterday for our Cash for Care fundraiser and to all who supported today’s BBQ. We are on our way…..

Our committee is overjoyed at the funds raised at our recent Run Goulburn Run - Fun Run - most importantly, a new Accuvein Vein Finder will be purchased for the Pathology Department. Thank you to our sponsors, donors, participants, MC, spectators, volunteers for helping our committee raise such an amount.
