I’m currently looking for a Support Worker to work with a 15-year-old female participant who has a strong love for animals and nature 🐾

We’re seeking someone who is:
✨ Gentle and calm in their approach
✨ Patient, understanding, and reliable
✨ Flexible with hours and willing to adapt to her needs
✨ Confident in supporting a young person to engage in meaningful community activities
The ideal person would enjoy spending time with animals and helping her explore opportunities to volunteer or observe animals in nature — whether that’s at shelters, farms, or wildlife centres.

It’s a privilege to be here tonight, standing alongside so many inspiring people and businesses who are all making a difference in their own way.

I’d like to begin by acknowledging that none of this would be possible without the people who stand beside me every day, my team, my family, our community, but most importantly, the participants and families who trust us with their journeys. You are the reason we do what we do. This is not just my journey, it’s ours. And tonight is about celebrating that collective achievement.

Tonight, I want to leave you with this thought: inclusion is not simply about being present, and equity is not simply about fairness. Inclusion is belonging, and equity is justice. Real change will only come when our systems stop asking people with disability to fit in, and instead reshape themselves to fit every person.

May we continue to create spaces where every voice is heard, every story is valued, and equity is not a promise, but a lived reality for all.”
