Not that I would want to compete with Zac's mulloway, but how is this 650m shot🤪.

New Zealand alps are incredible and this particular moment has been imprinted into my memory for ever!

We hiked through the afternoon to get to this stag. My heart was racing. It was really LONG shot! Big decision to make! Last thing I would want is hurt the animal for overestimating my capabilities!

I took couple deep breaths to calm my heart beat. Laser focused. Pulled the trigger. You can see the bullet flying through the air in the video. My face after the shot says about everything I was feeling. Now quick hike to the stag. It took us over an hour to get to him through thick bush and couple gorges.

We skinned him and butchered him. By the time we were done it was pitch black. We decided to risk it and carry the meat straight down the cliff to the river valley than follow the river out of the mountains. The descend was extremely scatchy and I am really glad none of us lost the footing because there would be no stopping. When we hit the river we all felt massive relieve. We were out of immediate danger it was however still massive hike with heavy load of meat. The adrenaline wore off. Our quadriceps were cramping with each step we took. At this stage it was just a grind that had to be done. When we made it to the rest of the crew the second wave of happiness hit! All the hugs, congratulations slaps on the back from the boys hightened the experience.

We got the stag into the town, deboned him, ate the back straps off him, donated the rest of the meat to the charity that feeds homeless people and cleaned the skin amd antlers for the transport to Australia.

This was one of the few experience I will never forget!
