Say to yourself... Make time for me. Sometimes it takes strength to stop and take some time to nurture ourselves.

Even just five minutes of taking some deep breaths and looking outside or listening to some relaxation music can be a small step towards feeling less stressed. Then try to fit in longer sessions when you can.

But consistency is the key. Small bits regularly is the key.

Some of the main issues I see in clinic are stress related issues. Life these days can be relentless, and I am seeing more and more anxiety, insomnia and gut issues. So, I sit down with my clients, and we work out the best way for them to work on their health issues and we create a treatment plan individualized to them.

Usually, Bowen Therapy becomes part of that treatment plan because of the way this particular treatment initiates change in the nervous system and immune system via the fascia. When we can get the nervous system to respond in a more balanced way, symptoms abate, and clients start to feel better.

Treatment plans, depending on the health issue we are treating, may also involve some lifestyle adjustments and herbal or nutritional supplementation specifically targeted at what we are treating. This is what I call individualised planning.

Information overload out there in the media can lead to confusion as to what is right for you and potentially can be dangerous if you are doubling up on ingredients by taking more than one supplement or herbal concoction. It is also possible you may be spending money on supplements that you do not need.

Another issue can be herb and pharmaceutical medication interactions. Even some vitamins and minerals compete or interact with medication.
This is why it’s a good idea to consult with a Natural Medicine practitioner that understands the implications of getting you on the right track.

Persistence is the key to building a healthy you. Making small bite size changes to your daily habits - eating better, moving more, integrating self-care.

Hi all
February is well on its way, which means routine is back on the cards.
Your mental and physical health is a continual work in progress. Which means making your health part of your routine, is as important as brushing your teeth daily or staying hydrated daily. Make achievable goals for your health. Make goals that are appropriate for your situation that will set you up for success. If you have been sedentary start with a 5 minute walk every day and work up to 30 minutes over time. If your eating habits are still a β€˜Little Christmasy’ πŸŽ„πŸŽ‰ find your healthy eating groove again by adding back in more healthy foods and reducing your added sugars and carbs. Attending to your stress levels by finding ways in your day to connect to nature or find some inner stillness through meditation or listening to music can make a difference. I personally use the app called Insight Timer to relax. It combines a number of techniques to improve your stress levels. (I have no affiliation... just love the app). One other thing I swear by is Bowen Therapy and the way it creates relaxation in the body and a better sense of wellbeing. Having a Bowen Therapy treatment regularly can improve the stress response in the body and make you feel better in mind and body.
If you feel like you need some guidance on how to set up a healthy routine for you, I am here to help.
