Funny how a post I have written in my head many times has come to this after a few tech difficulties today...
Yes, 2025, some took it on, took steps and ran off onto their new steps of life. For some, it was much harder. Both paths are both challenging and joyous in their own way.
But....
Those you spent every step with, and those precious moments with- are, and always should be the most important.

In our mental health awareness month, I want to recognise my beautiful families and the hard conversations we have. Sometimes they're perfectly timed- sometimes not so much. The ones where I am literally curling my toes in my shoes. The ones no parent or person wants to have.
Sometimes they're honest talks where we're all in tears.
They are hard. For all of us.
But please know, just because it's hard doesn't mean it's not worth talking about. These are our most valuable conversations.
These chats help us all move forward, together, and there will always be a smile and hug at the end.
Be brave- keep talking xx

Council’s newly-formed Child Friendly Cities and Communities (CFCC) Working Group has held its first meeting 📋🤝

The group comprises (L - R) Dr Linda Henderson, Anita San Ba, Nerissa Gee, Blake Cox-Davis, Karen Armstrong, and Jane Moriarty (who attended online), and its goal is to ensure children's voices, needs, priorities, and rights are central to public policies, as well as child- and youth-focused events and programs.
