We can cater for all disabilities, and with our army of volunteers, we can make sure everyone is safe in the water. Surfing is 100% FREE, and takes about 30 minutes.

Council’s newly-formed Child Friendly Cities and Communities (CFCC) Working Group has held its first meeting 📋🤝

The group comprises (L - R) Dr Linda Henderson, Anita San Ba, Nerissa Gee, Blake Cox-Davis, Karen Armstrong, and Jane Moriarty (who attended online), and its goal is to ensure children's voices, needs, priorities, and rights are central to public policies, as well as child- and youth-focused events and programs.

I was getting ready for a cool dip- stay tuned to new dates

This seems like a ridiculous post to be making considering how nice the weather is at the moment.... But the Disabled Surfers Association event scheduled for THIS SATURDAY is being postponed.

The weather forecast for Saturday is not favourable for either our participants or our volunteers. We are looking at 35-45km/h winds and a swell of 3.5 metres. We predict there will be a Marine Wind Warning, as well as showers.

No fun for anyone - which in the end, is the name of the game.

The committee wanted to give surfers, carers and agencies as much time as possible to plan around the postponement, so we're getting the word out early.

Please keep your eye on this page for a rescheduled date. Registrations for the march event are still open.

I am so privileged to work with many prem or ex-prem babies, now children. These amazing little ones give us a true appreciation of life. And, as a parent of a child who has known the NICU butterfly ward at RCH I love seeing and supporting your child to their full potential.
