What an experience, this was a goal I set back in April. Between lockdowns, emotional breakdowns and everything in between I made this happen. No one was going to rain on my parade...no one!

I almost cried sitting in the front on the helicopter and thought about backing out but I didn't, I never back down from a challenge...

Cinque, cinco, pese, pet, cinq, lima, tokorima all translations of the number five.

Here we find ourselves in another lockdown, affectionately known as 5.0. There is no doubt, those of you who know me, know that I have struggled considerably with all previous lockdowns. Mentally, it has taken a toll on me and as happens it’s trickled into other areas of my life. I’ve made no secrets about it, and at times it has landed me in trouble…this post probably will too.
I think it’s important to share the struggle, mental illness is different for everyone and we should be celebrating those who share their struggles openly with kindness, compassion, empathy and without judgement. Others who are not so confident with sharing should know; I have your back. It’s ok to feel what you’re feeling. You are a warrior, a survivor and champion.
A simple exercise to try,
Write down two things that you love on a piece of paper and read them out loud, keep that paper close by as a reminder throughout the day of the things you love

Committing to walking a minimum of 45 minutes per day with Earl & Poppy in August (except for when I'm in the Northern Territory) I'll be walking more than 45 minutes something tells me!!

What are you reaching for in the gaps of your day?

Are you filling those gaps with more and more caffeine? Sugary snacks? Or not eating at all?

For optimum energy and wellness, the goal is to feed your body the nutrients that it needs over the course of the entire day... We are looking for consistency with balanced nutrients at the right time.

If we only rely on caffeine and sugar - the 3pm crash (and the 9pm cravings) will be inevitable.
