This is my off season, training 3 times a week , I’m no means the leanest, most balance, biggest at this point but I understand that as part of my progress to my pro debut that there are phases of nourishment my body must go through.
I used to be afraid to “let go” of my body esp my comp stage body.

With time and maturity I absolutely have no fear to restart reset and reengineer my physique each and every single time . Why? Because every-time I have and do I come back better then my last version, and every new starting point is also better then the past starting point.

Currently, around 6-8 weeks from gearing up for my next prep phase .
Let see what my team and I can produce this time .

Ok so here’s where I’m at and to be honest I Surprised myself .

Pic of the left was taken on the 7 th of Jan this year. I was 12 weeks out of the season A pro/am qualifier that I went on to win. I remember thinking 12 weeks out how ever am I going to be ready.

I was training 4 days on around 1700 calories and doing 15k in steps.

Now fast foreword, almost 12 months later post comp and this is where I am sitting. Im doing 3 sessions per week, steps 6k-10 k, I also haven’t trained for the last 2 weeks as I just had eye surgery. I have no idea what calories I’m on …. So have not been tracking other them making sure I got my protein intake which I guesstimate.

My focus since my comp was to get my health back to 100% and build my strength back up, as comp prepping straight for 3 years really taxed my body.

So where to from here well, I still have 4 weeks a vacation in that time which I’m throughly going to enjoy 😉 and then well it’s knuckle down time come Jan.

I have a great team behind me and I’m pretty excited to see what the next 12 months will bring leading into my pro debut with .

We have a goal and that’s to qualify in 2024 for the big O. I like to put my goals out there … I like to make them big and scary as it pushes me harder and keep my finger on the pulse. Until then, it’s ✌🏻 out !

Today I was reminded just how far Kye has come in 7 years 🥹.

My biggest hero and greatest inspiration. He’s taught me more about life then any other experiences I’ve had in 10 lifetimes.

He fought so damn hard for his life and now look at him 🥹 to say I’m proud is an understatement.

He’s so. So strong, so brave and so independent. He’s got the wit and humour of the greatest comedians I know yet is the most caring, loving, and generous soul I’ve ever laid eyes on.

I can’t wait to see what he does with his life . Whatever it is I know it’s going to be special. This kiddo is destined for great things .

He may only have 1/2 a heart ❤️ but his love for humanity is limitless. I love you so much son . You are the greatest achievement in my life . ❤️

Stop 🛑 Majoring in Minor Exercises!!

You can’t change the shape of your muscle only the size of your muscle !
So why waste your off season (irrespective of categories) choosing exercises that don’t give you the most amount of bang for your buck 🤷🏻‍♀️
There’s a time and place for your b***y band and cable kick backs but your off season isn’t one of them.

Accessorising in secondary exercises when growth is your priority and focus is minimising your growth potential in any given off season!

I see this daily on the gram , no intensity, no progressive overload and limited foundational primary moves !!!

What’s this I hear you ask ??? Is your big compound lifts.

My pro body was built the complete opposite to what I was doing for most of my body building career .

What did I prioritise?
1: Getting Stronger
2: Compound Moves
3: Intensity
4: Quality over Quantity
5: Progressive Overload
6: Periodisation

So, my advise you want to drastically change your body ……..

Squat, Deadlift, Leg press, Lunge Bench Press, Overhead Press, Chin up and Lat Pull Down!

All of these exercises have different variation that will keep the body stimulated and minimise adaptation.

In my off season I only train 3 days a week for a max of 70 mins each training session, but I make every one of my sessions count!! I’m making sure that each rep is a working rep …. Not a warm up rep!! I’m make sure that I am personal besting every single week and most importantly I’m making sure that I’m fuelling myself like a performance athlete and not a an on season body builder.

The result of my last prep and the 10 Melbourne lockdowns I prepped through resulted in 10 kgs of extra muscle over a 3 year prep!!

One last word of advise. If you don’t know how to lift properly invest in a coach a proper coach that is a master in strength and hypertrophy . Do your homework before you find the best coach for you.

You can have all the right processes and steps on your journey but it’s the support, accountability and care factor of your coach and circle of friends and family.

Nikki has just completed 14 weeks on the mind body breakthrough experience with 2 still to go before we hit round 2 .

Overall, our journey together thus far has yielded a 9 kg weigh loss. So how was this done
✅ Learning the 4 step Body-fit behaviour change model for optimal self regulation
✅ reduction of inflammation through a gut and liver detox
✅ Identify, create and execute lifestyle management plan that’s both sustainable and scalable when needed.
- 5 days a week structured eating
- 1 gut cleanse day per week
- 1 free food day per week
- 2-3 days per week recomp training
- no cardio other then short 30 min walks for mental health
✅ non-neg weekly checkins ins and mindset performance coaching and intervention work.

It seems simple right? In one way it absolutely is, although in the MBB program you are forced to confront your biggest insecurities and this isn’t always pleasant but it’s absolutely worth it if you want to break free from you limiting noddy the negative beliefs.
That’s why I’m so proud of Nikki , the things she had to confront to get to this point would make most people quit at the first sign of discomfort.
And how is this for a ripple effect, her amazing husband Mark messaged me to share how Nikki’s transformation inspired and influenced him. As a result Mark list 11 kgs as well!! How Fu***ng Amazing 🤩
