What a wonderful way to celebrate International Day of People with Disability—with a beautiful and inclusive celebration lunch. Hats off to Leisure Networks for really listening to feedback from the previous breakfast and making today’s event more accessible.

Leah Alstin was an outstanding host, and hearing Alicia Martin and Rihanna Tracey share their stories was truly inspiring.

My biggest takeaways from today? Never assume you know—because you don’t know what you don’t know. If you want to be an ally to the community, stay curious, stay open, communicate and ask the questions.

It’s hard to believe we have been operating for 3 years.

The privilege of being able to support people’s life journeys is never lost on us, and we are thankful for our little space in the disability sector.

You will meet the following requirements;

Certificate IV in Disability Studies or be willing to undertake whilst working

Current First Aid Certificate with up-to-date CPR;

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain;

Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate or willingness to obtain;

Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain;

All applicants for this role must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccinations during the recruitment process.

☆ Meet Ash! She's the newest member to join our support team ☆

Ash comes with a wealth of knowledge, in addition to her holding a Certificate IV disability, Certificate IV Child, Youth & Family intervention and A Bachelor Physical activity & health sciences, Ash has over 5yrs+ of hand-on experience in various roles within the community & health sector.

Ronny joined the support team here at Peak in January. He is currently studying his Certificate IV in Disability though genU Training. He has a strong passion to help others and his willingness to continue to develop his knowledge & skills has made a wonderful addition. Outside of work Ronny is a busy, loving father and a car enthusiast.
