🌙 Disability Support Worker – Overnight Shifts (Active & Sleepover)
📍 Location: Geelong area
📅 Shifts Available: 7 Days a Week – Immediate Start
🕒 Shifts: Active Overnights + Sleepovers (transitioning to fully Active Overnights)
Are you calm under pressure, observant, and ready to make a real difference in someone’s life — especially at night?
We’re currently building a dedicated overnight support team for one of our participants who has complex night-time needs. These supports are in the process of being reviewed for active overnight funding, and we are looking for a couple of committed, consistent staff members to join our team and help get this participant the right level of support long term.
🔎 About the Role
Right now, this position includes a mix of active overnight and sleepover shifts. It’s important that candidates:
• Are ready and willing to work active overnights, even if the shift is listed as a sleepover
• Understand that due to the participant’s current needs, approximately 50% of shifts will require active support overnight
• Are comfortable completing documentation and incident reports as part of our funding evidence process
Once funding is approved, all overnight shifts will be rostered as active.
💡 What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking support workers who:
• Are available now to begin taking shifts — no long delays or limited availability
• Can commit to at least 3+ overnight shifts per week, including weekends
• Have experience with behaviours of concern, or are calm, grounded, and willing to learn
• Are confident documenting incidents, observations, and following clear support protocols
• Are comfortable being part of a small, close-knit team and supporting a participant with emotional and behavioural complexity
✅ Essentials
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• First Aid & CPR
• Relevant qualifications and/or lived experience preferred
• Strong written and communication skills (for documentation)
🤝 What You’ll Be Part Of
This is more than just a job — you’ll be helping shape the right support model for someone with unique and complex needs. Your observations, reporting, and presence will directly contribute to building a safer and more sustainable support plan.
You’ll also be supported by an experienced team who understand the reality of night work and are committed to creating a safe, stable environment for both staff and the participant.
📩 Apply Now
If you’re available, reliable, and ready to be part of something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you. We’re currently filling a 7-day roster, so availability is key.
