Looking back on this action packed STA weekend that we ran for our awesome client Millie 🙌

Millie and her Support Worker Anita were lucky enough to attend the Children’s Christmas Party up in Melbourne and made sure to catch public transport everywhere they went which was a great learning experience for Millie!

Afterwards they dropped off their luggage at the hotel and caught the trams to the District Docklands to play at Archie Brothers Arcade and have some dinner.

Even though it rained for the entire weekend which made public transport a little trickier than normal we managed to have a great time and work on our life skills 🌧

Our bespoke short-term accomodation experiences can take all kinds of different paths as they are shaped by the needs and wants of the client.

Last week our client Corey and his awesome Support Worker Michael stayed in a lovely townhouse in Geelong and dedicated some time to building the necessary skills for independence.

They cooked up a feast for dinner and dessert and made sure to clean up after themselves before wrapping up the night.

What an awesome weekend delivering another bespoke short-term accommodation (STA) experience for our client Buster 🙌

When we spoke to Buster and his family about what he wanted to get up to he decided that he would love to head into the city and watch Melbourne Untied play some basketball 🏀

Jakota and Buster even got to meet some of the players which was an added bonus!

After a great night and some dinner it was back to the hotel to wind down for a good nights rest.

Looking forward to the next STA experience 🔥

We have a special announcement to share with you all this afternoon whilst we have 22 clients attending our first ever event at Winter Glow ❄️✨

That news is that the wonderful Anne Hutchison who was previously our Rostering & Intake Coordinator at Shape Your Support has now moved across to Ignite Your Independence to be our Operations Coordinator.

Anne will be organising all of our camps, special events and short-term accommodation stays so if you reach out to our business via any of our communication channels you will be in great hands as you will be speaking with Anne!
