Have absolutely loved my first week at 157 Myers St.

Loved doing face to face sessions so much, decided I need to keep it going. The room I am in was not going to be available next year 😭 so I started looking around, guessing it might take time to find a new work home.

However, just this weekend, found a beautiful new spacious room for rent with great natural light.
The building already has a warm, friendly experienced team of health professionals who have been so welcoming 🥰

From 1st November will be welcoming you to a new room at Myer St Health, 157 Myer St Geelong. Photos to come.

This will allow another full day of face to face sessions 🌸 and after a lot of tinkering with the system this morning, you can now book online!

Time for a new business logo! The first logo was made in a rush after finding out about the privatisation of the public mental health service where I was employed. She looked a bit like a ballet dancer, but she felt like a symbol for freedom and I do love a bit of colour 😂 so many things have changed since then.

After lots of playing around online, I ended up with a colour enhanced image of a picture I took on holidays of sunrise.

In EMDR therapy, we often marinate in a memory of a calm, safe place. This picture represents one of my favourite calm safe places. I could see the beach at sunrise, hear the waves laping on the beach, feel a warm breeze on my skin, smell the ocean and my body felt relaxed and in holiday mode.

The sunrise always reminds me of the eternal hope a new day brings, and how often today’s problems can be transcended with the energy of a new day, especially after a good nights sleep.

Training and assessment completed. Application submitted and received email today “Congratulations! You are now an approved supervisor for the Psychology Board”. Very excited to be able to work in this space.
