The National Disability Insurance Scheme is delivered by the National Disability Insurance Agency. This page is not managed by medically trained staff.

It supports Australians who have permanent and significant disability, to live their life and achieve their goals. If you or someone you know is experiencing a medical emergency, please contact 000. Sean’s first and only rule of Disco-bility is to have fun!

Designed as a safe space for music lovers with a disability, the Disco-bility disco is an inclusive monthly event held in Dalby, Queensland.

Created by Sean Pocock, otherwise known as DJ Sean, it’s the place to be for people wanting to dance, socialise and enjoy themselves.

‘I just love doing it and I’m learning over the time. It just makes me feel good.’

Having quickly become integral to the local community, Sean’s Disco-bility is a fun, safe and inclusive experience.

The Be My Eyes app 📱 is helping to make the world more accessible to people who are blind or have low vision.

The app connects users with a volunteer in their own language who can help identify things such as expiry dates and distinguishing colours to help users navigate their homes and communities.

Michelle was excited to sell her art to the public, but learned even more about herself along the way. ⛓️

She began learning the tools of launching a microbusiness, as well as how to value herself and her work. Her business – handcrafted chainmaille jewellery, fidgets, and tabletop gaming accessories – has now grown into a regular market presence with an online shop and a loyal customer base.

There are now over 300 Changing Places in Australia. 🚻

Changing Places are larger than standard, accessible toilets, that provide people with disability access to suitable and private bathroom facilities.

Additional features include hoists, adult size, accessible changing table and a privacy screen.

We’re making NDIS planning fairer and easier. A new way of planning will roll out gradually, giving everyone time to prepare.

Why are changes being made?

Thousands of people called for change through the NDIS Review, and we’re taking action.

What’s changing?

✅ more flexible budgets

✅ a support needs assessment for fairer, more consistent plans and less paperwork.

Importantly, new plans will continue to be approved by real people.

NDIS staff will receive training to support new framework planning.

Current plans stay the same for now. We are aiming for mid-2026 for the first participants to move and we will take the time to get this right.
