Growing up, Cheryl never really felt included at concerts and live shows.

But thanks to the increased presence of Auslan interpreters at performances in recent years, she has found a new love of live music.

For Cheryl and others like her in the deaf and hard of hearing communities, Auslan interpreters don't just allow them to understand the words – they can feel the music and stories just as richly as every other attendee.

We’re making it easier to understand what NDIS funding can be used for.

Supports are separated into 2 lists:

✅ NDIS supports

❌ Not NDIS supports.

You're in control of your funding, so it's important that the supports you buy are NDIS supports and in line with your plan.

To help participants use their funds correctly, we’re contacting those who purchase something incorrectly.

If you would like more help understanding what can and cannot be purchased with your NDIS funding, check the supports lists at 💻 https://ow.ly/WRVa50WrEqM

Nas Campanella is the first blind newsreader in the world. 🙌🏼

Nas is blind and has a neurological condition means that she can’t read braille. Impressively, she communicates the news by listening to a prompter in her ear.

You might recognise her voice from Triple J radio or from her work as the Disability Affairs Reporter for the ABC.

Chatting on an episode of ‘The Imperfects’ podcast, Nas talks about her relationship with her disability and how it shapes her identity.

She dives into some powerful conversations and shares why, if a magical operation could restore her sight, she wouldn’t change a thing.
