‘The Northern Territory is very unique... It's really important to be able to provide feedback and the differences and reminders that come with very remote and unique locations.’ - Karen, Participant Reference Group member.

We’re making the NDIS stronger by listening to feedback from participants like Karen and others.

The feedback from people who live in regional and remote communities helps ensure we can make the NDIS better for all eligible Australians.

We’re making the NDIS stronger.

That’s why we’re making sure participants can access the quality supports they expect and deserve.

We’re launching a new Quality Supports Therapy pilot.

This pilot will help ensure provider prices reflect service quality and value for money by looking at both the outcomes for participants and the cost of delivering good service.

It includes a diverse mix of providers across different models, including regional and remote delivery, to capture a wide range of therapy supports. The data gathered will guide meaningful, staged price reform.

Barbara has always lived independently, but when a new chapter began, she recognised that she needed a little additional support. 🤝

She learned to use assistive technology like screen readers and digital magnifiers, though says that 'adapting is a skill'.

'You can’t expect it to work straight away — you must give yourself room to learn how to use it.'

Further support options, like assistance navigating meeting rooms and learning her phone's accessibility features, have also helped her adapt to a new way of life, all with compassion and support.
