The integrative medicine approach for vertigo and tinnitus:

My vision is that you feel supported, resourced, and prepared for any sensation you feel in daily life.

My mission is to help people with sensory impairments, such as vertigo and tinnitus, learn to trust their body again. To learn about their ‘wholeness’ and reach their desired outcomes without relying on ongoing therapy sessions or

medications.

With eLearning programs, step-by-step support tools are now accessible to everyone with internet. This includes access to practical tools, skills and the holistic process needed for returning to wellbeing.

In the future, I hope that more health professionals will consider the holistic aspects of recovery. Beyond ordering endless tests, prescribing generic medications or recommending hearing devices that may lead to co-dependency behaviours. This process includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects for each person to explore in their own way, without judgment.

Two things:

I recently heard well-being described as ‘Acceptance of all that is’.
(Note: Acceptance is not Tolerance. True acceptance is an authentic and genuine openness to what is. It is neither faked nor forced.)

What are your thoughts on this?

It’s so simple and feels true for me.

I’m currently noticing any resistance (or non-acceptance) that arises in my daily life. I’m experimenting with releasing resistance and flowing with what is, moving closer to surrendering and accepting whatever comes my way.

It simplifies life.

Less mental clutter.

Less ‘what ifs?’

Less needing to grasp for details and certainty.

More space to hear the birds sing their bird song outside my window.

More space to connect and listen deeply with my inner Self.

More eye contact and listening to the people around me.

More listening in general.

It has surprised me how much space and time can be chewed up by resistance: worry, stories, rigidity, closed heart/mind.

It’s a nice experiment.

Photo taken looking up at a tree from its root system. I found that interesting.

We just had a juicy conversation on our monthly Sensuality Call as part of my Sensing Ground Community.

Surrender into something Greater is a brave leap into living with flow; to receive life and all of our body sensations without preference. No bias or judgment. Feeling life as it is.

Part of neuroplasticity is learning to say “Yes and welcome” to all body sensations without preference. To surrender into the experience and become life itself.

S*x is a great teacher for life if we view it through this lens of taking a journey into something beyond ourselves. A path of mystery and clarity. Paradoxes everywhere. A portal for our growth.

This was a great conversation today. Thanks to all who joined.

Key points: It can feel like a jetlag that doesn’t end.

What is it? This is a cluster of symptoms that do not quite fit into any other category. Patients report feeling off-kilter or they report lingering sensory distortions. There are no known triggers. Patients often note reduced concentration, visual blur or brief dizzy spells.

The sensory distortions can occur when the pathways to and from the brain are a little muddled. With medical clearance, there is a great possibility that these symptoms will mend with time and understanding of what our body is telling us. The symptoms often make sense once we really listen in, with openness and curiosity. We lean in. The body is always seeking its own symmetry, homoeostasis and equilibrium. It can take time and it can be frustrating. Many patients with these symptoms make subtle changes to their priorities and look for ways to recharge their batteries.

In other words, when all else fails, look to self-care strategies and find out what works for you… the options are endless. We have seen people recover (& thrive) time and time again. You know it… Being overworked, under-slept and spending lots of time in front of a screen or on the run can exacerbate brain fog, fuzziness and idiopathic dizziness. Worry about symptoms can also prolong recovery.
