Today, our Operations Manager Amy and Area Manager Mynette had the pleasure of attending a careers expo hosted by Brisbane Youth Service.

This was a fantastic opportunity to connect, network, and be part of shaping new and exciting futures for young people in our community. We are so passionate about supporting pathways into meaningful careers and empowering the next generation to thrive.

Kindergarten 2 had a wonderful time exploring all the amazing ways their bodies can move through yoga.

As they stretched, balanced, and flowed through different poses together, the children developed greater body awareness, coordination, and mindfulness. Yoga is a fantastic way to support our little learners in building strength, flexibility, and a sense of calm.

We loved seeing their focus, confidence, and joy as they moved their bodies in new and exciting ways!

Pre Kindy 2 had an explosive day of learning as they created their very own volcano sensory tray!

As part of their exploration into all things volcanoes, the children discovered how volcanoes erupt, why they are so hot, and how they exist within our Earth. Through this hands-on science experience, the children engaged with curiosity and wonder, asking questions and making connections about the world around them.

It was incredible to see their excitement as they observed, predicted, and explored true little scientists in action!

This week we seen the call out from a local community member looking for donations for the amazing Defenders for Hope for Mother’s Day.

During our Woolworths visit today we made it our mission to buy some special items to put into the basket O’NO Cafe and Flowers.

This is what community is about, helping when we can, teaching kindness and giving back when we are in a position to give back.

Today, we acknowledged National Superhero Day in the most exciting way! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

The children came dressed as a wonderful mix of superheroes—some as their favourite comic book characters, and others as real-life heroes like firefighters, police officers, and paramedics. It was a fantastic opportunity to talk about what makes someone a “hero” and how courage, kindness, and helping others make true heroes.

Thank you to all our families for helping the children get into the spirit—what a fun and meaningful day it was! 💥

🦷 Back again this Wednesday at Active Kids Greenbank! 💙

Greenbank Family Dental will be making our 3rd visit this month (Wednesday 29th April) — and we’ve absolutely loved seeing so many of the children getting involved and excited about looking after their teeth! 😄✨

The confidence, smiles, and enthusiasm from the kids has been incredible to be part of 🙌

📣 A quick note for parents:
If you haven’t yet booked your child in through Active Kids, there may still be an opportunity. Due to ongoing demand, the centre has shared they’re open to adding an additional day if needed.

And for all of our little patients we’ve already seen — we can’t wait to see you again in 6 months! 🪥🦷

We had a very special visitor at Kindy today…
Healthy Harold the Giraffe! 🦒💛

Harold spent time with the children talking all about big feelings—what they are, why we have them, and safe ways to express them. From feeling excited and happy to sad, frustrated, or even a little overwhelmed, the children explored how all feelings are important and okay to have.

Through stories, songs, and interactive activities, Harold helped us learn ways to calm our bodies, use our words, and support our friends when they’re experiencing big emotions.

It was such a fun and meaningful experience, and the children were so engaged and thoughtful throughout the session!

Thank you, Healthy Harold, for helping us grow our emotional awareness and resilience 💫

Today, Kindergarten 2 embarked on their very first excursion to Reverse Garbage, where they had the opportunity to select a variety of loose parts to bring back to our learning environment.

This hands-on experience allowed the children to be active participants in their learning as they explored concepts of sustainability, engaged in problem-solving, expressed creativity, and made meaningful decisions about the materials they chose.

These loose parts will now become a valuable addition throughout our kindy zone, supporting ongoing play, investigation, construction, and creative experiences. We look forward to seeing how the children continue to extend their ideas and interests through these open-ended resources.

Today in Pre Kindy 1, the children created their own interpretations of poppies for Anzac Day using paint and recycled paper plates. Through this hands-on experience, they explored creativity while also engaging in meaningful conversations about the importance of Anzac Day in an age-appropriate way.

The children showed great interest and respect as they shared their thoughts and ideas, continuing their learning through discussion and artistic expression. This experience supported both their understanding of significant cultural events and their ability to communicate and reflect.
