Alper has been doing incredible work during his 1:1 supports, building his skills to use public transport independently.
Starting with learning routes and how to navigate stations, he’s now developing the ability to gather important travel information — like listening for announcements and checking when the next train is arriving.
He also knows how to wait safely, stay aware of his surroundings, and is moving through the community with more confidence each time he goes out. Big shout out to Alper 🙌
If learning to use public transport independently, like Alper, is one of your NDIS goals, now is a great time to start travel training — especially with public transport currently FREE across Victoria until the end of May.
