We’re delighted to welcome clinical psychologist Dr Tania Herbert to the MINDCHECK HP team. With over 15 years of clinical experience in Australia and internationally, Tania brings a depth of expertise shaped by work across hospitals, community health settings, humanitarian contexts and with people who have experienced trauma, displacement and marginalisation.

Tania is deeply passionate about supporting those who support others, with a particular understanding of the professional and personal impacts of working in healthcare. She works collaboratively with clients, drawing on evidence-based approaches including CBT, Schema Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy and Mindfulness, to create meaningful and lasting change.

She has particular experience supporting individuals with trauma (recent and historical), anxiety, adjustment difficulties, workplace stress and complex life circumstances — and values the importance of warmth, humour and genuine human connection in therapy.

We’re so pleased to have Tania join our team on a Monday and Wednesday.

MINDCHECK HP developed out of a genuine concern for the mental health and wellbeing of health care providers and a desire to be part of a change towards taking better care of our health carers.

Our Mission is to provide healthcare professionals with high quality and comprehensive psychological services to improve wellbeing and life satisfaction. We wish to be part of a change that sees:


  • reduced stigma around mental illness and increased treatment seeking

  • increased access to mental health support services
