You shouldn’t have to over-explain basic respect. If you’re repeatedly saying: “That hurt me…” “That made me uncomfortable…” And their response is: defensiveness… minimising… or turning it back onto you… that’s not just a communication issue. Because the right person doesn’t need a perfectly structured explanation to understand that something affected you.
