We’re excited to welcome Dr William Crews to Highland Medical Centre — consulting on Tuesdays and Fridays from August 12th, offering care to all patients across the full spectrum of general practice, as well as through The Male Health Hub, a dedicated space for men’s health.

The Male Health Hub will provide support for men’s health concerns, including:

🧠 Welcome Greg – Our New Psychologist at Highland Medical!

We’re thrilled to welcome Greg, a registered psychologist with a wealth of experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges.

Greg specialises in trauma therapy using EMDR — a powerful approach for those navigating PTSD, anxiety, addiction, and depression. He also offers relationship and couples counselling, helping couples strengthen connection, communication, and resilience.

Greg brings a compassionate, practical, and culturally informed approach to every session.

With flu season peaking and over 8,700 cases already reported in WA, the Cook Government has extended the free flu vaccination program until 31 July 2025.

All Western Australians aged 6 months and over are eligible. Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself, your family, and the community from serious illness this winter.

Patients not eligible for Medicare will need to pay a consult fee, but the vaccine itself is still free.

Feeling Unwell? See Your GP Without Leaving Home 🏡

If you're experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms – such as sore throat, cough, fever, or fatigue – it could be COVID-19, Influenza or RSV. These viruses are circulating more widely at the moment and can be serious, especially for babies, older adults, and people with underlying conditions.

💡 If you’re symptomatic, please consider booking a Telehealth appointment.
Telehealth allows you to speak with your GP by phone or video call – all from the comfort and safety of your home. It’s a convenient way to get medical advice while also helping to reduce the spread of illness in our community.

✅ RATs that test for COVID, Influenza & RSV are available at pharmacies and supermarkets.
✅ If you test positive, please stay home. Your GP will call you at your prearranged Telehealth appointment time to discuss the next steps.
✅ Vaccinations remain your best protection – speak with your GP or pharmacist about boosters and eligibility.
