I believe it is an art. A dance. To choose when you push through resistance and do the thing... and when to allow rest.

In those real moments of 'I was up all night with the kids'... even when you really wanted to do XYZ... What's somewhere in the middle that would feel like your still choosing your future self? And your still honoring where you are at?

Not from a space of 'push' but from a space of appreciation?

What can you do to show your appreciation to your body? To still love her, honor her, show her your listening? X

If your feeling stuck in cycles or sick of looking in the mirror and hating what you see? Its time to dive in.

Not push harder.

Not grind and squeeze more out of your body.

Its time to connect in. Listen. Observe. Soften in to compassion and be guided by what she truly needs.

Its so much more then the perfect diet or protocol. Its a reclamation.

The lack of motivation, was a protective mechanism of the brain, protecting her from feeling like a screw up. Sound familiar? Listen up 👇

We got clear on the fears underneath the behaviour.

We dropped the shame around 'being lazy' and shifted in to 'being protective'.

Then came in compassion 🥰

We gave the fears a voice and fed them glimmers of possibilities.

We took the big desire to eat whole foods daily (which felt unrealistic) and focused on a goal that felt achievable in any season.

We prepared the mind that there WILL be resistance but because the goal felt achievable, it was easier to push through the resistance.

She felt resistance... and still did the thing.

It wasn't perfect but she took the small steps and it all began to create the very motivation she was waiting for.

And now she is fueling her body in ways that never felt possible. Her energy is returning.

Being stuck in cycles is never a lazy thing babe.

It is ALWAYS protective.

We can nut it out together ❤️ shoot me a DM or comment DISCOVER to book in a free 15 minute call.

I've always known my boys where closer to our Ancestral truths. The way they move, think, feel. Its so not a defect. The world we live in is defective and disconnected. Excited to see this evolving ✨️

What if the way we think isn't just modern wiring, but echoes from an ancient past? A groundbreaking study in Molecular Psychiatry has found that certain gene variants inherited from Neanderthals are more common in autistic individuals. These aren’t just any fragments of DNA they’re specifically tied to differences in brain activity related to visual strength and social processing.

Researchers discovered that while people with autism don't have more Neanderthal DNA overall, they do carry specific snippets that may affect how the brain interprets the world. Traits like heightened attention to detail, visual acuity, and logical focus often seen in autistic individuals may once have given our ancient cousins a survival advantage in small, tight-knit communities where precision and perception mattered more than social nuance.

Far from being defects, these cognitive patterns may represent a natural thread in the human story. This research reframes autism not as a modern epidemic or malfunction, but as a deeply rooted part of human neurodiversity. What some call difference may actually be legacy and within that legacy, profound insight into the many ways a human brain can thrive.

Our Story

Hi! Im Charmaine Newmark, A holistic Naturopath in Camden absolutely passionate about my work in the world.

My passion was born from transcending my own personal health journey through the confusing rollercoaster of mental health, gut health and post natal burnout.

I love supporting women and families back in to a space of thriving again through a unique practice of healing, using traditional medicines, food medicine and my own life lessons. I know my experience and challenges were my greatest teachers and long to share it with you.

I truly believe in our possibility to life the life we desire and have a happy, healthy body and mind. Id love to believe in you, even if you dont right now.
