These school holidays can be the longest and hardest for some, this is where the routines change for our kids and they seek constant stimualtion, movement and play to entertain their bodies and brains. Some simple go to strategies can help where possible during these times.
Here's some thoughts and suggestions;
1. Morning Routines - have a school holiday morning routine, this helps set up each day for what lies ahead
2. Have one big movement idea a day to help entertain those bodies. Over summer, I love early morning park adventrures before it's too hot. Swim sessions, family walks, riding bikes, scooters etc, sprinkler adventures or beach days are all great ideas too if it's accessible.
3. A school holiday evening routine that offers some predictability, even if it is styaing up a little later. It might include a family movie night, games night or making craft together.
