Last night I did a thing ✨

I’m still taking this all in…
Winner of the 2026 Australian Counsellor of the Year Award with the Australian Counselling Association.

To every client I’ve had the privilege of working with, thank you.

Thank you for your trust in me, your vulnerability, your courage, and for allowing me to walk alongside you in some of life’s hardest moments.

This work is something I hold deeply close to my heart, and this recognition feels incredibly special because of the people behind it.

So grateful. So humbled.

Healing isn't something you have to force. It's something your body already knows how to do - when given the right conditions.

"The body has been designed to renew itself through continuous self-correction. These same principles also apply to the healing of psyche, spirit, and soul." Peter Levine

Your body heals a cut without you having to think about it.

The nervous system has its own capacity for self-correction, completion, and return to wholeness.

What it needs is not forcing. Not willpower. Not urgency.

It needs safety, titrated steps, and a guide who understands the process.

↓ What would it mean to trust that your healing is already underway?

Discover Inner Healing works with your body's natural capacity - not against it.

She's capable. Often the one holding everyone else together. Smart, self-aware, and deeply tired.

She's been to therapy. She's read Bessel van der Kolk. She meditates. She knows her patterns.

And yet.

She still wakes at 3am with a dread she can't name. She still shrinks in certain rooms. She still finds herself choosing relationships that confirm what she secretly believes about herself.

She's not broken. She's not beyond help. She simply hasn't yet had access to the deep, body-level healing she needs.

This course is for her.

If that woman sounds familiar - hello. I made this for you.

"The only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learning to befriend what is going on inside ourselves." - Bessel van der Kolk

Healing doesn't happen in your head.

It happens in your body.

In the moment you notice the tightness in your chest and stay with it - rather than push it away.

In the breath that softens when you finally feel seen.

In the small, quiet act of turning toward yourself with curiosity instead of criticism.

Befriending your inner experience isn't soft or self-indulgent. It's the actual mechanism of change.

↓ Tag someone who needs this reminder today.

Discover Inner Healing walks you through exactly this - nervous system first, from the inside out.

"Trauma is a fact of life. It does not, however, have to be a life sentence. Not only can trauma be healed, but with appropriate guidance and support, it can be transformative." Peter Levine

I want you to sit with that word: transformative.

Not just manageable. Not just survivable.

Transformative.

What Levine spent decades watching in his clients - and what I see in my own - is that moving through trauma doesn't just return you to baseline. It can open something deeper. A kind of aliveness that wasn't accessible before.

This is the science. And it's also the hope I hold for you.

If you've been carrying something heavy and wondering whether it's possible to feel different, it is.

↓ Save this. Come back to it on a hard day.

Discover Inner Healing is a trauma-informed, nervous system-based program for exactly this journey.

For a long time, the people I sit with have searched for healing in the right modality.

The right therapist.
The right framework.
The right moment when something finally clicked.

And some of those things helped.

But the deepest shift - the one that actually changes how someone moves through their life - almost never happens out there.

It happens when they stop looking outward and start getting curious about what's happening inside.

In the body.
In the parts that carry the old stories.

In the places they learned to protect themselves from feeling.

That's what I see, again and again, in the room.

And it's why I built Discover Inner Healing the way I did.

Not as a set of instructions.

As a guided journey inward - through the nervous system, through the parts, through the window of tolerance - to the place where your own healing already lives.

Because it does live there.

You just need to know how to find it.

And I want to help you get there. 🤍

Science has known this for decades. But most of us were never told.

"The self organisation of the developing brain occurs in the context of a relationship with another self, another brain." - Allan Schore, 1996

Your nervous system didn't develop in isolation.

It developed in relationship - attuned to your caregiver's face, their voice, their nervous system state.

When a parent is regulated, present, and emotionally available, the infant's brain literally builds itself around that safety.

And when that attunement is missing - through no fault of anyone - the nervous system learns something different.

This is not about blame. It's about understanding.

Because understanding is where healing begins.

↓ Save this if it lands for you.

If you're ready to go deeper into your own nervous system story, Discover Inner Healing is open now.

Spending the last few days in Sydney at the EMDRAA 2026 Conference - 35 years of EMDR therapy, research, and practice all in one room.

As someone who works with trauma every day, this is the kind of professional development that doesn't just sharpen my skills - it deepens my understanding of what healing actually looks like in the body.

Grateful to be in a space with so many brilliant, dedicated clinicians.

Science says the experiences we create for children in care can literally rewrite their stress responses. Let that land.

This is the science of epigenetics - and it's one of the most hopeful things I share with carers.

Trauma doesn't just affect how a child feels. It affects how their genes are expressed. How their stress response is calibrated. How their nervous system responds to the world.

But here's the extraordinary part: those patterns are not fixed.

Research shows that safe, consistent, connected relationships - over time - can actually shift the way those genes express themselves. New neural pathways form. Stress responses recalibrate. The body begins to learn that safety is real.

This means:
🌿 Every time you stay calm when they escalate, you're sending a healing signal
🌿 Every time you repair after a rupture, you're building new trust
🌿 Every time you show up consistently, you are literally reshaping their nervous system

You might not see the results today. Or this week. But the work you're doing is not wasted.

It is being absorbed. It is changing things at a level deeper than behaviour.

You are part of their healing.

Save this. Come back to it on the hard days

Integration is the moment healing stops being something you DO and starts being something you ARE.

It's subtle at first.

You notice you didn't react the way you used to. You caught yourself earlier in an old pattern. You felt the impulse - and chose differently.

Integration is when the work moves from your notebook into your nervous system.

It doesn't happen all at once.
It happens in thousands of small, unremarkable moments.

When you pause before snapping.
When you feel sadness without being engulfed by it.
When you advocate for yourself in a situation that once would have silenced you.

This is what healing looks like from the inside.

And it is available to you.

Where are you noticing integration in your own life?
