Excited to introduce our new team member and physiotherapist Iwona!🤩

Iwona is originally from Poland and has worked both in Poland and Australia as a physiotherapist. Iwona takes a holistic approach to treatment, combining strength rehab with hands on therapy to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.

Having gone through her own injury journey, Iwona truly understands the physical and emotional challenges of recovery and is passionate about helping others get back to doing what they love 💪

She holds a bachelor and Masters of Physiotherapy and enjoys working closely with patients to create individualised treatment and rehabilitations plans.

Outside of the clinic you will find Iwona in the gym, at dance classes or out in nature. She also has a strong interest in natural medicine, breath work and cold therapy.

Iwona takes an exercise based approach to rehab, which is goal focused and stands strongly aligned with Strengthen Ups core values of Strengthening, Unlocking your full potential and Prospering both physically and mentally to be stronger for longer!!

Sitting all day shouldn’t mean living with lower back pain.

If your back starts aching after hours at your desk, your body is trying to tell you something 👇

Here’s what’s usually going on:
• Slouching puts extra pressure on your spine
• Tight hips creates more pulling through the lower back
• Weak core can have an effect on your posture

The good news? Small changes make a big difference ‼️

Try this:
✔ Sit with your feet flat and hips slightly higher than knees
✔ Keep your screen at eye level (no more neck hunching)
✔ Take a 2–3 min standing or walking break every 30–60 mins
✔ Stretch your hips daily

Consistency is key. Your back will thank you.

For a lot of athletes this is the offseason and the most important time to get on top of your injuries for 3 main reasons ⬇️⬇️

🔴You have a time window to build strength without other training loads
🔴Prior injuries need to get sorted during this time - once preseason starts it’s often too late
🔴The stronger you are going into the preseason the stronger and more powerful you will be in season

The building phase should start now 💪💪
