Day 2 was a great success💫, with plenty of opportunities to reconnect with familiar faces. A special highlight was Merrick catching up with Professor Richard Jones after many years - two former colleagues from their time at Prince Henry Hospital (1988 -1998).🙌 It was also a pleasure to see Professor Steven Faux from St Vincent’s Hospital and Dr Greg Bowring from UNSW.

We also had the opportunity to participate in the Orthotics and Prosthetics Special Interest Group alongside Professor Faux and Dr Bowring.🦵

Day 1 has been a great success - Merrick and Victor have had a fantastic time showcasing our latest advancements in 3D printed orthoses and the DMO product range.

We were especially delighted to have Martin Matthews from DM Orthotics join us at the booth.

🎓✨ Congratulations Phoebe!
We’re proud to celebrate Phoebe, a final-year student from The University of Sydney studying a Bachelor of Biomechanical Engineering, who recently completed her placement with us at Korthotics. During her time here, Phoebe worked on her honours paper, focusing on low-cost interventions for manufacturing AFOs (Ankle Foot Orthoses) using 3D printing.

Her innovative research explores how 3D printing can improve accessibility, affordability, and efficiency in orthotic care - especially in developing nations. It’s been a pleasure to support her journey, and we can’t wait to see where her bright future leads! 👣🦿🧠

Ready to send out these 3D printed AFO's to the School of Health - Prosthetics & Orthotics students.📦✈️ These were designed by their 3rd year students using MediAce3D and printed with our in-house 3D printer in under 100-hours. This is our fifth year collaborating with Brian Delaney and Adrian Pooley running the workshop providing the latest education on 3d printed orthoses for University of the Sunshine Coast

Well done to Ahmed Da'na on presenting his first stage of his PhD at the UTS: University of Technology Sydney Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building yesterday. His presentation focused on exploring the Digital technologies and sustainability in custom made orthotics.

We are also proud to be sponsoring this PhD, as this is the first Industry led PhD undertaken at the UTS: University of Technology Sydney Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building.

We had an amazing weekend where we welcomed a group of rehab registrars at our clinic to learn more about orthotics.

These registrars are currently based in several different hospitals 🏥across Sydney and are training to become Rehabilitation Specialists.

The session covered prescriptions and clinical outcomes on lower limb and the application of KAFO's and AFO's.

A huge thanks to all those who attended🤩and we would like to wish all these inquisitive individuals all the best with their upcoming exams!✨

⭐️Korthotics Turns 21⭐️🥳🎂🥂

Today marks 🎉21 years🎉 of when Korthotics started. Merrick and Young reminisce of when they started they had no staff but now they have grown to 9 staff and continue to grow🌱. The key🗝 to growth is all about the people and the team working together to provide great service. Grateful for the incredible team we have! We look forward to many more exciting years ahead...and celebrating with some more cake!🍰😋

We had a friendly game of Barefoot Bowls👣 for our team building activity over the weekend. It was Girls vs Boys, and the final score was 1️⃣0️⃣-1️⃣1️⃣ with a deciding point that went to the boys🏆. It was a close finale and ultimately there could only be one winning team. Well done boys & better luck next time for the girls!
