Dear Patients and Carers,
Due to the ongoing situation relating to COVID-19, we were wanting to inform everyone of our procedures as well as extra precautions we are taking to help minimize risk and to maintain ongoing safety for both our patients and staff.
The Australian Government has announced that all international arrivals need to self-isolate for 14 days from the day of their return. Therefore, all patients, carers and staff attending NQ Osteopathic Clinic who have returned from overseas recently are required to self-isolate for 14 days regardless of which country they have travelled from.
The Government has also imposed a ban on non-essential gatherings of over 500 people. This does not apply to NQ Osteo Clinic. Therefore, we will continue to be open as per our normal hours of operation, until further notice.
We understand that some patients are choosing to remain at home and cancel existing appointments in an effort to align with social distancing.
- No cancellation policy applies during this period until further notice. In this instance, please ensure you notify us if you will be not be attending with a minimum of 4 hrs notice
If you are experiencing any signs and symptoms of viral infection including cough, fever, whole body aches, runny nose, chills, or sore throat, please DO NOT ATTEND.
- If you need to reschedule at the present time, we are open for business as usual.
The measures we have always undertaken include:
- Daily clinic cleaning
- Cover sheets used per patient
- All linen is changed after every patient and laundered daily
- Practitioners wash their hands before and after every patient
In addition to our current procedures, we will regularly be disinfecting areas where multiple people will be likely to be in contact (i.e door handles, chairs, tabletops etc…).
If you would like to wear a mask, please do.
We are keeping up to date with the latest advice from the World Health Organization as well as following the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Association and National guidelines.
This is an evolving situation and we will keep you updated as things change. Our priority is to always ensure the health and safety of our patients and team.
Thank you for your consideration!
