Check out this incredible SEM image of muscle tissue!

The red units are muscle fibres, surrounded by endomysium connective tissue (white and blue) and capillary blood vessels (yellow). Even individual red blood cells can be seen in some of the capillaries.

A fascinating look at the structural components of our muscles — and a reminder of how interconnected every system is.
