Introducing the next step in equine recovery at Gundy Park Equine.

Our new Day Spa concept has been designed to support horses through every stage of rehabilitation, combining proven therapies with a calm, controlled environment that promotes both physical recovery and mental relaxation.

Each session is tailored to the individual horse and may include:
• Hydrotherapy support for low-impact conditioning
• Targeted muscle therapy to assist circulation and recovery
• Controlled movement programs to rebuild strength and balance
• Comfort-based stabling designed to reduce stress and support healing

It is a space where recovery is managed with precision, but delivered with care.

Limited Day Spa sessions open from April 1.
Bookings are now being taken via DM or through our team.

Movement is medicine.

At Gundy Park, every step has a purpose. From steady walks through salt water to controlled canter work on the high-speed treadmill, each session is designed to support strength, balance and long-term soundness.

The salt water treadmill encourages low-impact movement, helping to reduce strain on joints while improving circulation and muscle engagement. As horses progress, the high-speed treadmill allows for carefully managed conditioning, building fitness and resilience without compromising form.

It is not just about exercise. It is about the right movement, at the right time, for the right outcome.

Strong bodies. Sound minds. Horses prepared for the long run.

Salt‑water treadmill isn’t only for rehab. Competition horses use it to maintain condition through a long season without stacking up miles on joints. It’s a brilliant “third day” option, work that’s meaningful but kind.

Water height, belt speed and session length let us tune difficulty like a dimmer switch, not an on/off toggle. Many riders tell us their horses feel looser to start under saddle after a block of water work. That comfort turns into better training and fewer arguments.

If you’d like to blend aqua sessions into your week without losing arena feel, DM us and we’ll map it out.

Rehabilitation timelines shouldn’t feel like punishment. We use milestones, not arbitrary dates: comfortable walk, quality of turn, willingness to load evenly, consistent post‑work recovery. When those boxes are ticked, we move on with confidence. Owners stay looped in with honest updates so there are no surprises only steady steps.

Progress feels slow until, suddenly, it doesn’t. If you’d like rehab that respects your horse’s voice and your peace of mind, DM us and we’ll get you a sensible pathway forward.

Recovery starts with the right approach.

Our aqua treadmill is a core part of many rehab programs at Gundy Park, giving horses a low-impact way to rebuild strength, balance and movement while easing pressure on joints and soft tissue.

Ideal for injury recovery, post-surgery care and bringing horses back into work without added strain.

Safe. Effective. Trusted.

Strong performances do not just come from training. They come from how well a horse recovers afterwards.

INSTANTCRYO™ supports the recovery process by helping reduce inflammation and encouraging faster repair, so horses stay comfortable and ready for the next session. When used alongside our Infrared Camera, you gain a clear picture of what is happening beneath the surface. Areas of heat, stress and inflammation can be detected early, often before they develop into larger problems.

It is a practical way to manage workload, recovery and long term soundness.

📌 The importance of correct shoeing

Unexplained lameness or sudden behaviour changes often trace back to hoof balance.

A poorly shod or incorrectly angled hoof places excess strain on tendons, ligaments and joints. Over time this pressure can travel up the limb and into the back, hocks and stifles, leading to uneven weight distribution and ongoing discomfort. Many horses then begin to overload the front end in an effort to escape the pain behind.

When the foundation is wrong, the whole horse feels it.

Working with experienced farriers and veterinary professionals allows these issues to be identified and corrected before they become more serious problems.

If your horse is showing soundness or behaviour concerns, our team may be able to help.

Revolutionising Equine & Canine Rehabilitation

Gundy Park Equine is situated in the picturesque Hunter Region of NSW on the Isis River, 292 km north of Sydney and 15km from Scone. Nestled in the tiny settlement of Gundy, which boasts leading horse studs and well known, prestigious connections, this purpose built state of the art bespoke Equine Rehabilitation & Fitness Centre offers the first ECB Equine/Canine Water Treadmill in Australia.

We provide expert spelling, rehabilitation and fittnes services for both long term and walk in clients.

Aquatic rehabilitation has long been recognised as having beneficial effects. It is a safe and effective treatment option for managing primary musculoskeletal injuries whilst reducing or limiting harmful compensatory gait abnormalities.

Excising in water provides an effective medium for increasing joint mobility, promoting normal patterns of movement, whist reducing the risk of developing secondary compensatory musculoskeletal injuries caused by primary conditions. The enhancement in muscle strength and function whilst decreasing stress and loading of the joints can significantly improve balance, poor motor control and discomfort typically found in horses with osteoarthritic changes.
