🚀 We’re excited for what’s coming in 2026!
Over the years, we’ve supported so many incredible support workers across our region. They work hard, often in complex situations, and usually with very little formal training. Everyone is doing their best — but we know that knowledge is power, and good training makes a huge difference.
Up until now, our training has mostly been reactive. We’d step in when something wasn’t quite right, like:
• Bowel care routines needing review
• Autonomic dysreflexia that needed earlier recognition
• Equipment not being used safely
• Support workers feeling unsure or overwhelmed
In 2026, we’re levelling up.
We’re moving to a more proactive and structured model of attendant care training — focused on confidence, safety and quality right from the start.
What this will look like:
• Small group training tailored to each person’s injury and daily needs
• Hands-on education in real environments — in the home or at our new Tamworth clinic
• Clear training in complex areas like bowel care, AD, manual handling and equipment set-up
• New learning tools, including simulation equipment for safe practice
• Ongoing feedback from participants, families and support workers to keep improving
When support workers feel confident, everything changes. Participants feel safer, families feel supported, and the whole care team works better together.
We’re genuinely excited for what 2026 will bring. This shift is aligned with our vision of helping more people, delivering quality services, and lifting the standard of care across regional NSW.
Here’s to a big year ahead — building capability, supporting our communities, and continuing to make a positive impact.
