The Conadilly Canvas is a youth-led mural project shining a light on mental health right here in Gunnedah (a topic that needs SO much light and love, especially in regional areas). Entries close 19 September - and we’d love to see as many young people involved as possible.

✨ What’s it about?
Young people are invited to share their voice and creativity around the themes of mental health, belonging, connection and hope.

It doesn’t have to be “art” in the traditional sense - entries can be drawings, paintings, short writing pieces, or even edited videos.

🎨 Why enter?

• Winners will have their ideas brought to life in a 10-metre mural painted by artist Katie Louise Bigg in the heart of Gunnedah in October.

• They’ll be invited to join Katie and the community on Paint the Wall Day to help paint sections of the mural themselves.

• It’s a chance to share their story, support their friends, and speak up about the things that matter.

This is a fantastic chance for our local youth to be part of something big for themselves and for our community 💛

👉 Entries close soon!
All the details + entry form are here:

We were talking about creativity, community, and the ways art can help us say the things that sometimes feel too big for words. That chat planted the seed for a project that would give young people in our region a platform for their voices, their stories, and their hope.

We’d like to update everyone on what’s been happening at PK over the last few weeks;

Olivia Gale (Podiatrist) joined us on 20th May which we are SO grateful for and is working two days a week- Tuesday and Wednesday.

This means both Pia and Olivia have much more capacity to cover Alissa’s maternity leave and we’re delighted we can again offer appointments in a timely manner. Miracles do happen! 🌟
I am so grateful for our PK team 🦶

Please phone 6742 4268 and Leesa (Monday-Thursday) and Debbie (Wednesdays) will be able to assist you with bookings.

I’d also like to formally introduce our third beautiful boy 🩵

🔈 AVAILABILITY UPDATE:

Alissa is having her third child in 7 weeks, and going on maternity leave in 6; I hope this examples that we are doing our best to have appointment availability while we can and are currently getting people in within weeks, and this can reduce to within days if there is any urgency required.

Alissa will be on maternity leave from mid-May to October at this stage; so we suggest making contact over the next 6 weeks while two Podiatrists are in attendance; and for June-October we suggest any new patients link up with our fab colleagues in Tamworth/Narrabri because they may have more capacity to look after you over that time period.

We’ve had 10+ years of full time capacity, 5ish years covering Monday-Thursday as our children have come along, and there’ll be plenty more years ahead of increased capacity when we’re not doing the difficult but important juggle of raising our young children alongside meeting the needs of the community.
