MYTH OR FACT
Myth: Watery eyes mean you don’t have dry eyes.
Fact: Excess tearing is often a symptom of dry eye.
When your eyes become too dry, they can overproduce tears as a response. So eyes that are constantly watering may actually be struggling with dryness.
Other common signs of dry eye can include:
• Burning or irritation
• Gritty or sandy feeling
• Blurry vision that comes and goes
• Tired eyes
If your eyes water frequently or feel uncomfortable, a dry eye assessment may help identify the cause.
