This free community event is open to anyone who would like to learn more about our local maternity providers and the midwifery services they offer.

Join us for an informative morning which will include a Q&A panel (with representatives from our local public and private hospitals and Homebirth Queensland), the opportunity to chat with many of our local private practice midwives, as well as learn more about the midwifery programs offered here at UniSC including the CONNECT Program which links midwifery students with birthing women.

A huge thank you and shout out to the Queensland film creators / producers Amanda Banks and Eleanor Currie for sharing this film about the importance of birth experiences, and getting more discussion out there about what happens at birth really does matter! The film explores many aspects of childbirth, including the benefits of continuity of carer and how "homebirth may just be the key to reclaiming this amazing rite of passage."
