The Truth of This Journey 🤍
Mumma and I travelled down south to farewell Uncle Peter…
to send him off with love, blessings, and to celebrate the life he lived.
It’s been emotional… deeply draining… and also incredibly beautiful.
The first day felt long —
a mix of highs and quiet moments where we both held the unknown…
wondering, especially for Mumma, how it would all unfold.
We arrived for the wake…
surrounded by family.
Mum knew the stories, the history —
and I was meeting so many beautiful souls for the first time.
As everyone spoke of Peter with such love,
sharing memories, laughter, and loss…
Mumma and I couldn’t hold it in.
Tears ran down our cheeks —
a release, a connection, a moment of truth.
And as we left…
the heaviness began to soften.
We made our way to our little home base —
by the rocks, old fishing grounds,
overlooking the sea and quiet yachts.
We slept in the car…
laughed, released, breathed.
Waking up to magic.
A simple cuppa on the burner,
a little yoga,
setting intentions to carry home with us.
Then off to Nambucca Heads…
to just be.
Yesterday… we hit a low.
So drained.
Not even feeling human —
just a body moving through space.
So I walked…
2km along the beach,
into the water,
back to stillness… to meditate.
And then Mumma came down.
Right before I began,
I heard it so clearly:
“You’re not here for you…
you’re here for your mumma.”
To listen.
To hold space.
To hear her life stories.
And as I did…
I saw her.
A strong, intelligent woman
with so much heart…
a life so full — even through the hard times.
And in that space,
we both realised something beautiful…
Even though we walked separate paths for so long,
they led us right here.
Back to each other.
Now… we click.
We understand.
We share in a way that feels aligned, easy, real.
And I wouldn’t change a thing.
These moments we are sharing now…
they are life-changing.
So much gratitude.
So blessed.
Thank you 🤍
