I took a spontaneous trip to Victoria last weekend and there was no way I was skipping a day at the incredible Sovereign Hill Museum in Ballarat. 🌟

And of course… the moment I spotted the Old World Apothecary, I was GONE! 😍
I happily spent a good half an hour soaking in the shelves of herbs, bottles, tools, and remedies from a time I feel I would’ve fit right into. There’s something truly magical about stepping back into the past—especially when it feels a little like home. 🌿✨

Our Story

Hi, my name is Mandi. A herbalist, a mother of five organic children. A wife of a tradie /hobby farmer. I was originally a hairdresser. 24 years in the industry. When my first child was born 18 years ago (shhhhh) my interest in natural therapy was aroused. So I started some courses. Firstly aromatherapy, then natural therapy and finally herbalism and skin care /health care products. But with this industry the learning never ends its an open book of constant study. Whilst hairdressing I found myself constantly suffering with different symptoms. Sinus, headaches, asthma, lack of energy etc. So I decided I’d spent enough time in that industry and it was time for a permanent change. I through myself into an in-depth study, sold my salon and studied some more. Making natural organic products for friends and family that actually worked was thrilling, and then their friends and family started asking for products. But it wasn’t enough for me I felt the need to share these products with everyday Australian’s wanting to steer away from the chemical ridden society we are all living in. At Herbal Valley Apothecary (Apothecary- Is a very old name dating back to the 1300’s, meaning Chemist) we supply herbs, oils, tinctures, hand made products, medicinal honey, syrups, and more. Herbal Valley Apothecary supports small business’s, Australian business’s. We are 100% organic, if its not certified organic its spray/chemical free. We have tried to make all product packaging recyclable right down to the postage packaging. If there’s a product you want and we don’t have it drop us a line and we’l see if we can get it (make it for you).
