itis and sciatic pain in particular. Iain has been working as an educator since 2001 and has been working as a massage therapist since 2015. He is embarking on further study in 2021, beginning a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons). Both Lee and Iain have been accredited health fund provider status. We use an extensive understanding of anatomy and body biomechanics to assess and treat muscular imbalance that may be creating discomfort. We welcomed Kerrie Price to our clinic at the beginning of September 2020. Kerrie brings an established Herbal Medicine consultation practice to Gympie, currently once a fortnight, with plans to expand her consultation days in the future. Consultations are quite involved….Kerrie takes an in-depth case history looking at clinical signs and symptoms, scrutinise pathology results, uses a combination of Nutrigenomic DNA testing and functional medicine testing when required as well as traditional naturopathic examination techniques such as iridology, nails etc. and treatments include customized herbal formulas using over 250 herbal extracts, practitioner only nutritional and nutrigenomic supplements. Kerrie offers discounts for Centrelink card holders. Initial consultation is 1 hour and follow ups are 45 minutes with the option of both telephone and video consultations Australia wide for those that can’t do face to face.

Don’t know how much I like writing this…. Easter marks the end of my extended travels for placements. I will have finished 25 weeks out of the clinic and can get back to work for me!! So - what does that mean? I have spaces available in the second week of the holidays. Looking forward to getting back into it, back in the old haunt at Barter Street. Pleased to be nearly back, will be amazing when I’m actually back. Hope to be seeing you soon. 😁

We’re ba-ack… !!! After 13 weeks away in the wilds of the north we have returned!!! 5 weeks in Mackay followed by 5 weeks in Cairns with a week to decompress at the end - and work starts again tomorrow…. Looking forward to seeing everyone again, and catching up in the clinic and around town. Next year is looking much friendlier for us - pretty fricking awesome. Booked out till Christmas, spaces available from the 27th - yep, we’ve been gone long enough, time to get back into it..

Well the boss has finished his last exam yesterday for the year, and I won't say the champagne flowed! We are back to fairly normal (for us) hours this Friday, till March next year.

As you all know Petra, Iain and I are sharing a room at the old Freemason Hotel. They are calling me (Lee) Clancy, as I'm picking up the overflow from Iain and Petra. I'm still trying for total retirement (don't tell Julie our bookkeeper), but am thoroughly enjoying my few hours of work a week.

- Petra works Mondays and every second Thursday
- Iain Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
- Lee picks up some @ 4pm Monday, 4 pm Thursday, 5 pm Saturday and every Sunday morning.

We are planning on our famous Pig on the Spit functions starting again at the end of 2024!

BRETT RILEY (Osteopath) IS COMING SOON.

He is well known to many Gympie folk, as well as our client base with his past association at Health Management Centre in his capacity as an Osteopath.

We are thrilled to yet again have a practising Osteopath in our clinic. He joins our Remedial Therapists, Medical Herbalist and Counselling team.

Julie our wonderful receptionist/bookkeeper and Lee have had a mammoth day rearranging Iain's busy schedule to mostly half hour appointments. He has been training for a couple of years in preparation for this to incorporate our clinic into Uni life. His final goal of Physio/RMT will be of benefit to all of us.

Things have been a bit mixed with changes to Uni timetables but on the whole everyone has been accommodating. Our next pig on the spit is going to be a big thank you to all our lovely clients for their good nature in our new endeavors.

A big thank you to Julie for her unwavering support. Here is hoping that we have a Covid free year so the pig on the spit goes ahead!

We run a busy remedial massage clinic in gympie. We are looking to employ and or hire out a room to a health fund approved rmt, or myotherapist. Hiring a room with us is super reasonable at $50 a day, and we will refer our overflow to the therapist who comes to us. We supply reception for a small cost.

As we are branching out into physiotherapy , our days of hire may change semester to semester. At this stage we can offer Monday tuesday wednesday.
friday from about the end of april.

Currently we have three rmt's, a counselling service, a medical herbalist and our chiro/osteo still is accessible through his sports spine clinic. He offers professional development traing to our staff.
