After days of rainy weather, the clouds finally parted and the skies turned the most beautiful blue — just in time for Andrew & Lou’s ceremony in Noosa. It felt like the universe was giving them a little wedding gift.
With just the two of them, their two witnesses (dear old friends), and me, Melanie Dawn as their celebrant, we created a truly special commitment ceremony to celebrate their love. There were heartfelt words, plenty of laughter… and yes, we had to pause for tissues.
Afterwards we soaked up the sunshine, sipping champagne and snapping photos before the happy couple headed off to celebrate with dinner at one of Noosa’s gorgeous restaurants. Simple, meaningful, joyful — exactly what a celebration of love should be.
Elopements and commitment ceremonies like this are proof that weddings don’t have to be big to be unforgettable. When it’s personal, relaxed, and full of love, that’s where the magic happens.
