Noah shares three gentle stretches for lower back stiffness. These are simple movements you can do slowly and comfortably, without needing any equipment.

As always, move within a range that feels okay for your body. If something feels sharp, painful, or not quite right, it’s best to stop and check in with your osteopath or health professional.

Small, gentle movement can be a helpful way to reconnect with how your back is feeling today.

Where could a movement snack fit today?

In Noah’s recent video, he spoke about 'movement snacks' - short bursts of movement that can be done throughout the day, without needing a gym, equipment, or a full workout.

It might be 30 seconds, a few minutes, or simply a small change in position after sitting for a while.

📞Walking while you’re on the phone.
🧘 A few squats after sitting.
🚶 Taking the stairs.
⛰️ Choosing the hill.
🧍 Standing between tasks.

Small, frequent moments of movement can be one way to break up long periods of sitting and bring a little more movement into the day.

Noah shares a small idea that can make movement feel a little more doable: movement snacks🏃‍♀️‍➡️ 🧁

They don’t need to be complicated. It could be walking while you’re on the phone, a few squats after sitting, some lunges, or taking the hill instead of the flat path.

Your body responds to movement across the whole day, not just one longer workout.

You might already have a few movement snacks in your day - taking the stairs, standing between tasks, walking a little further than usual.

What’s one you could add?

In practice, it’s often not one moment that shapes how the body feels - it’s what happens repeatedly over time.

Posture, movement, stress, rest, habits - all of it adds up.

This week was a good reminder that small, consistent patterns can have a meaningful influence.

Most of us don’t think much about how we move day to day.

We tend to settle into familiar patterns - the same way of sitting, standing, exercising, even resting.

Over time, the body adapts to what it experiences most often.
Not in a good or bad way - just in a consistent way.

That’s why variety can matter. Not because you need to overhaul your routine or add more to your day, but because small differences in movement can give your body more ways to respond and adjust.

Sometimes it’s as simple as: moving a little differently or noticing what you don’t usually do 🤔

19/04/2026

Most of us don’t think about how we step into our shoes or sandals.

But if you pay attention, it’s not exactly the same each time.

Your body is constantly making small adjustments - shifting weight, organising balance, responding to the moment.

It’s not meant to move in one single, perfect way. That variability is part of how your body adapts over time.

Where your weight sits can change throughout the day - depending on what you’re doing, focusing on, or responding to.

Often, these shifts happen quietly in the background.

Over time, spending longer in one position can influence how different areas of the body feel - whether that’s a sense of ease, tension, or fatigue.

Taking a moment to notice can be a simple way to reconnect with how your body is feeling.

Tension is often something people want to get rid of.

But in practice, it can also be part of how the body responds - to stress, to load, or to changes in routine.

Sometimes the goal isn’t to remove it entirely, but to better understand what it might be responding to.

Your breathing isn’t fixed - it shifts throughout the day in response to what you’re doing.

Over time, these patterns can become familiar, even if you’re not aware of them.

This can sometimes influence how your body feels, moves, and responds.

Noticing your breath can offer a different way to understand what your body is responding to 🫁

Rest isn’t just about stopping - it’s about giving your body the right kind of support to recover.

Gentle movement, breathing, or simply changing positions can help ease tension and support natural recovery.

Noticing cues like stiffness, restlessness, fatigue, or shallow breathing can help you work out what kind of rest your body is asking for in that moment.

What does rest look like to you?
