What is vitality? 🌞
Vitality in both a physical and mental sense is a feeling of aliveness. Physically it refers to feeling healthy, energised and capable of thriving in everyday life. In the mental sense vitality creates a sense of meaning and purpose in our daily actions.
At The Holistic Health Nook, we are dedicated to helping you become the healthiest, happiest and most intentional version of yourself. We believe that restoring coherence and vitality within the body and mind is the foundation for living a fulfilled life!
Here are some simple ways to increase your vitality:
- Prioritise sleep (aim for 7-9 hrs sleep per night and try to maintain a regular sleep/ wake cycle).
- Spend more time outside, get your feet on the earth and skin in the sun. Reconnecting with nature is one of the quickest ways to boost vitality!
- Eat nourishing whole foods, preferably local and organic (avoid processed, low vibe foods).
- Stay hydrated, drink filtered water w/ a dash of sea salt to balance electrolytes (no tap water).
- Move your body in whatever way feels best, find activities you enjoy or just dance it out.
- Reduce your stress, this is one of the biggest energy/ vitality drainers. Build up your tool kit; breath work, meditation, go for a walk, read a book or practice a hobby.
- Cultivate a positive mindset. Practice gratitude, prayer or meditation. Surround yourself with people that want the best for you. Speak kindly to yourself and challenge negative thoughts by reframing them to positive affirmations or beliefs.
- Set boundaries and stick to them. By setting clear boundaries you create space for self care, rest and activities that nourish you. It also fosters healthier relationships and increases self esteem/ respect.
- Set aside time for self care, whether it be a regular body work session, magnesium bath or simply resting without feeling guilty. Always fill up your cup, first and foremost.
