"You're not sick, you're tox-ic!"

A quote from Jeremy Ayres' that I am understanding more and more from all the learning I am doing.

Our bodies want to survive, why would we want to harm ourselves in order not to survive? That doesn't make sense. So our bodies' symptoms are a sign that something is out of balance, a warning light that is flickering.

We are exposed to many toxins in our environment- via air, water, food-especially processed foods, blue light from screens, what we apply to our skin, what we consume into our consciousness through various media sources. Chemical cocktails that our bodies don't recognise, which then it tries to expel by any means it can, to find balance again. So we get sick, we get a rash, a fever, an upset stomach etc..

The key is to pay attention, look out for the flickering warning light and trust that the body knows what it's doing. Of course, outside help may be necessary, but it starts with self-awareness and self-reflection.

How can I eat more cleanly, get better sleep, what changes can I make to help by body do what it naturally wants to? To thrive!

Here's a very interesting perspective on the idea of incorporating exercise as a means of losing weight, you might be surprised! As I learn more about this subject, it becomes clearer to me that it's about the energy in what we consume rather than the energy we burn during exercise.
