At the end of February I went to an INFTA Forest Therapy PD day in the Sydney Botanic Gardens. We ended up here in the herb garden, which has all sorts of beautiful colours and fragrances. It was great to spend time with other guides from all across Australia, swapping stories and sharing tips about all things forest therapy 😊

Welcome to Forest Therapy.

Forest Therapy has great benefits for both our physical and mental wellbeing. On a Forest Therapy walk you are guided to take your time and use your senses to connect to nature.

It's new in Australia so you may not have heard of it yet, but it has been popular in Japan for over 40 years and has spread from there to South Korea and China decades ago.

What that means is there is a significant body of research that now shows how valuable it can be to our health. Which is why it is being picked up globally, with research efforts and training being done in Europe, North America, New Zealand and now, Australia.
