I know many of you have been eagerly waiting for this update… my beautiful baby girl arrived two weeks ago, and she is truly the light of my life. ✨

After a long and challenging fertility journey, finally holding her in my arms has been the most overwhelming and beautiful feeling. There really aren’t words that can capture what this moment means to us. My heart is so incredibly full, and I am completely in love with this little human. 💗

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of my patients, colleagues, friends and family who have supported me along the way. Your kind words, encouragement, messages, breastfeeding cookies, thoughtful gifts and well wishes have meant more than I can possibly express. I have felt so held and supported through this chapter of life. 🫶

When the time feels right, I may share more of my story. But for now, I am very content soaking up every moment in this precious newborn bubble. 🥰

For those of you waiting to see me back in the clinic, I’m planning to return at the end of April. Appointments are already filling quickly, so please contact the team if you’d like to secure a spot.

Thank you again for all the love and support.
Katie xx

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience and brilliance of women everywhere. 🌸

At our clinic, we have the privilege of supporting women through some of the most powerful transitions in life — pregnancy, birth, postnatal recovery, menopause, returning to exercise, and everything in between.

Pelvic health is about more than just muscles. It’s about confidence, knowledge, and feeling supported in your body at every stage of life.

This International Women’s Day we celebrate the incredible women in our community, and we remain committed to helping you move, live and thrive with strength and confidence. 💪

Here’s to strong women — may we know them, may we be them, may we support them.

Perineal massage is a powerful preparation tool for vaginal birth — and you can start from 36 weeks of pregnancy 🤍

No, it’s not just about “stretching the skin.”
And yes, it does increase blood flow to the muscles and skin of the perineum, supporting tissue health and flexibility.

But it’s actually much more than that.

When you gently apply pressure and stretch to the perineum — combined with breathing, visualisation and relaxation — you’re teaching your nervous system something incredibly important: how to soften and release as baby’s head descends.

Birth isn’t just physical. It’s neurological.
Your brain and pelvic floor need to work together.

Research suggests that in first time births, antenatal perineal massage may:
• Reduce the risk of significant perineal tears
• Lower episiotomy rates
• Decrease postpartum perineal pain
• Reduce the risk of faecal incontinence

Unsure where to start? A Pelvic Health Physiotherapist can guide you on technique, positioning, breathing strategies and suitable products to use.

And a little heads up — it’s not the easiest area to reach in late pregnancy 😅
You may need a device to assist… or a supportive (and well-briefed!) partner.

Birth prep isn’t just about baby. It’s about preparing your body and nervous system too 🤍

Your health. Your body. Your voice. 💚
You deserve care that listens, supports and truly prioritises you.
If something doesn’t feel right, you’re allowed to ask questions and seek alternate care.

Some strategies to help you prioritise your concerns with your healthcare provider:
• Write down your main concerns and questions before your appointment
• Ask for a written summary of key points from the visit
• Call or email the clinic if you need clarification afterwards
• Discuss clear goals and a plan moving forward

Understanding your care and having a solid plan matters — you deserve to feel supported every step of the way 💚

🥝Kiwifruit = a little gut health powerhouse 💚

Great for constipation (hello fibre 👋), but here’s the fun fact — up to 50% of the good stuff (fibre, antioxidants, vitamin E + folate) lives in the skin.

Yep. The skin is totally edible.

Not vibing the furry texture?
✨ Throw it in a smoothie
✨ Blend it up and let your gut reap the benefits

Small change, big gut win 🥝💩

Busy week at work, 32 weeks pregnant, and all the feels…reflux, back pain, abdominal and pelvic heaviness, and why not throw in a few Braxton Hicks contractions!

So I utilised my lunch break to lay down, close my eyes and breathe, and may have even napped for a few minutes! Just what was needed to get through the rest of the day.

Every pregnancy journey is different. Listen to your body, it’s performing an incredible feat in growing a baby! Your doing amazing 🤩
